Created in 2007, Superior Vintage was part of a period when I became fascinated by the challenge of translating complex forms into simple black and white shapes. Drawn in pen and ink, the piece focuses on the elegance and craftsmanship of a vintage Mercedes-Benz, using contrast and line to reveal its character.

Looking back, I see this work as an exploration of many things that still interest me today: form, structure, and the way light can transform an ordinary subject into something memorable. While my practice has evolved over the years, this drawing remains a reminder of the patience and observation that first drew me to pen and ink.
